This is a unique sourdough loaf made with coffee and chocolate! This is a fantastic bread if you’re looking for something different. We do not add sugar - the only sugar is in the semi-sweet chocolate chips included throughout the loaf. The coffee is bold and a slice of this with some butter is a lot like enjoying a traditional French goûter with a nice cup of Joe! If you want to get really fancy, pair this bread with a sharp white cheese for an incredible grilled cheese sandwich. It is also perfect on its own, toasted or not. Let your imagination run wild!
We create our sourdough loaves with stone milled ancient, heirloom, and artisan grains. All ingredients are organic, fair trade, and local whenever possible. Each loaf is slow fermented with our sourdough starter that was born in San Francisco and raised in Denton. This loaf weighs approximately 1.5 lbs after baking. The coffee we are using this week is an organic, shade grown coffee from Chiapas that was medium roasted in Texas.
